Fish still not eating.
I was recommended a new aquarium shop (Coral Plantations)
closer to home today, since I have been given some bad advice where
I bought by tank.
This new shop is awesome! Their tanks are unbelievable
and the shop owner is so helpful and honest with his advice. Something
great he said first off is 'the best way to tell if a shop owner
is giving you good advice is look at the shops display tanks' Well
Coral Plantations' tanks were the best I have seen, so I will listen
to his advice very carefully :)
I was here to buy some live rock (rock with 'things'
growing on it). I was told that I wont need ALL live rock which
is quite expensive, there was a product called 'Envirorock' which
is a man made mould of rock with shells stuck to it, its much cheaper,
they have much better shapes then live rock, I picked one with a
cave and some good holes in it, with a flat top so I can put enemies
on it. Live rock & envirorock is priced by the weight. I bought
2.5kg of live rock (3 pieces) and 5.7kg of man made rock.
Tip* the live
rock shouldn't be left out of water longer than 1 hour; it should
be transported in wet newspaper in a plastic bag to keep the moister
in. Also rinse the manmade rock well.
Once I put the live rock in my tank things started
coming to life. I saw these little brown and green pod things that
came out with light and when in when I bumped the tank.
Later I found out they are called Zoanthids.
I also did a 25% water change today.
